Individual and Group Hotel Room Reservations
1. Services
1.1 Unless otherwise specifically stated, all packages include the following basic services:
• Overnight accommodation in a room of the corresponding category
• Breakfast and dinner, Service, VAT, Local tourist tax
The following services are not included in the packages:
• Parking at the Titlis valley station, Luggage transportation, Tickets
2. When booking via the Bärghuis Jochpass website, you receive a 1.5% to 5% discount on the regular room rate. The earlier you make your booking, the higher the discount. These discounts are only available for online bookings made via the Jochpass website at www.jochpass.ch. The discount is already included in the displayed price. For bookings made by telephone or email, the regular room rate applies. To complete a reservation, the applicable amount must be paid by credit card. Website bookings cannot be combined with voucher payments. Changes or cancellations of a booking to a different stay date cannot be made online. If the stay date, number of guests, or allocation of guests to rooms needs to be changed, the booking can only be amended by telephone or email. In such cases, the online booking discount will no longer apply. If a cancellation is made sufficiently in advance and no alternative date is available, the amount paid will be refunded to the credit card. Please note the applicable cancellation conditions.
3. Summer Cancellation Conditions If you are unable to make your trip or depart early, the following cancellation fees will apply. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
3.1 Bookings for up to 10 persons
Arrivals on Saturdays and public holidays. Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. Cancellation 6 to 2 days before arrival: 50% of the booked package will be charged. Cancellation 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged.
Arrivals from Sunday to Friday. Free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival. Cancellation 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged.
4. Winter Cancellation Conditions. If you are unable to make your trip or depart early, the following cancellation fees will apply. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
4.1 Bookings for up to 10 persons.
Arrivals on Fridays, Saturdays, public holidays, and during the Christmas, Carnival and Easter holidays. Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Cancellation 13 to 3 days before arrival: 50% of the booked package will be charged. Cancellation 2 to 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged.
Arrivals from Sunday to Thursday. Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival. Cancellation 6 to 3 days before arrival: 50% will be charged. Cancellation 2 to 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged
5. Group Cancellation Conditions – Summer & Winter. If you are unable to make your trip or depart early, the following cancellation fees will apply. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
5.1 Room Occupancy. If cancellations result in rooms no longer being fully occupied, we reserve the right to accommodate guests in smaller room categories. In this case, no cancellation fees will be charged, provided that the vacated room can be rebooked.
5.2 Groups of 10 or more persons or 4 rooms. Free cancellation up to 6 weeks before arrival. Up to 14 days before arrival, the number of persons may be reduced by 20% free of charge. If the reduction exceeds 20%, 50% of the cost per cancelled person will be charged. Cancellation 13 to 3 days before arrival: 50% of the cost will be charged. Cancellation 2 to 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged
5.3 Groups of 20 or more persons. Free cancellation up to 4 months before arrival. Up to 14 days before arrival, the number of persons may be reduced by 10% free of charge. If the reduction exceeds 10%, 50% of the cost per cancelled person will be charged. Cancellation 13 to 3 days before arrival: 50% of the cost will be charged. Cancellation 2 to 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged.
5.4 Groups of 50 or more persons. Free cancellation up to 6 months before arrival. Up to 14 days before arrival, the number of persons may be reduced by 5% free of charge. If the reduction exceeds 5%, 50% of the cost per cancelled person will be charged. Cancellation 13 to 3 days before arrival: 50% of the cost will be charged. Cancellation 2 to 1 day before arrival: 75% will be charged. Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total cost will be charged
6. Accessibility. If Bärghuis Jochpass cannot be reached because railway operations have been suspended due to adverse weather conditions, such as storms or avalanche danger, the following applies: Bärghuis Jochpass will arrange alternative transportation wherever possible. If alternative transportation is not possible, the reservation will be cancelled free of charge. For longer stays, only the nights affected by the inability to travel to Bärghuis Jochpass due to storm or avalanche danger will be cancelled free of charge.
7. New Year's Eve. For overnight stays including New Year's Eve, a surcharge of CHF 60.00 per adult and CHF 40.00 per child applies. For bookings made via the website with a discount, this surcharge is not yet included in the displayed price. No discount applies to this surcharge. A minimum stay of 2 nights applies over New Year's Eve.
8. Dogs. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be registered with Bärghuis Jochpass in advance. Dogs are only permitted as long as a designated dog-friendly room is available. The charge is CHF 15.00 per dog per night. Dogs are not permitted in the 10-bed group rooms. Four-legged guests are welcome in the restaurant.
9. Further Provisions
9.1 All offers are subject to availability and request and must be confirmed by Bärghuis Jochpass.
9.2 Services not used cannot be refunded.
9.3 Bärghuis Jochpass accepts no liability for services provided by third parties, such as excursions, concerts or other activities.
9.4 Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Check-out is by 10:00 am. A room is available for luggage storage.
10. Ski Passes. The principle is: the earlier you book, the more you save. For prices and ticket purchases, please visit www.titlis.ch/skitickets. Ski passes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date. Exceptions apply in the event of illness or accident, subject to presentation of a medical certificate and only for ski passes valid for 2 days or more. Refunds are issued exclusively as a Titlis voucher for the affected person and not for any other members of the group. If you only ski down to Engelberg on your departure day, no ski pass is required for that day. Please note that at the beginning and end of the season, the valley run may be closed due to insufficient snow.
For groups of 10 or more persons, ski passes at the group rate can be pre-ordered from Titlis Bergbahnen in writing no later than 12:00 noon on the day before arrival. Requests must be sent to tickets@titlis.ch. If tickets are purchased in advance via the webshop, they may be cheaper than the group rate. The closer the stay date approaches, the more likely it is that the group rate will become the more economical option.
All tickets must be collected at the ticket counter on the day of arrival by one person from the group; otherwise, the group rate does not apply. Refunds for pre-ordered tickets are available exclusively in the event of illness or accident and upon presentation of a medical certificate. No-shows will be charged.
11. Prices in Euros. Prices stated in euros are indicative prices only. The current exchange rate on the day applies.
12. Price Changes. Bärghuis Jochpass reserves the right to make price changes.
13. Amendments to These General Terms and Conditions. Any amendments to these General Terms and Conditions must be made in writing.
